Privacy Policy for CustomLabelGroup (iOS)

This Privacy Policy applies to the CustomLabelGroup mobile application for the Apple iOS platform (hereinafter referred to as the "Application", "App", "we", "us", or "our").

We take your privacy very seriously. CustomLabelGroup is built on a local-first, offline-by-default philosophy. We do not track you, we do not show advertisements, and we do not collect, process, or transmit your personal data to any external servers or third parties.

1. Information Collection and Storage

1.1 Local Data Storage Only

All data created or managed within the Application—including barcode cards, barcode values, titles, notes, and column layouts—is stored strictly locally on your iOS device using an embedded SQLite database (via Room KMP).

We do not transmit your barcode or board data to any remote servers.
We do not have access to the data you store inside the Application.

1.2 Information We Do NOT Collect

Under Apple’s App Privacy guidelines, the Application does not collect or link any user data. Specifically, we do NOT collect:

Contact information (such as name, email address, physical address, or phone number).
User content (your barcode text and notes remain exclusively on your device).
Identifiers (such as IDFA, Vendor ID, or device serial numbers).
Location data (precise or coarse location).
Financial or payment information.
Usage data, search history, or diagnostic telemetry.

2. Device Permissions and System Features

The Application requests only the minimal system capabilities required for its functionality:

2.1 Camera Usage (`NSCameraUsageDescription`)

Purpose: The camera is used solely to scan and decode one-dimensional (1D) barcodes in real time.
Handling: Camera video frames are processed directly in your device’s volatile memory (RAM) by the barcode engine.
Privacy Guarantee: We never record, store, capture still photos, or upload camera images or video feeds off your device or to any remote server.
Optional: Camera access is completely optional. You may decline camera access in iOS Settings and still use all core board management features with manual barcode input.

2.2 System Pasteboard Access

Purpose: The Application accesses your iOS pasteboard only when you tap the "Copy Barcode" action on a card.
Handling: The Application writes the selected barcode text directly to the system pasteboard. We do not inspect, read, or track any existing clipboard contents.

3. Third-Party Services, Tracking, and Advertising

Zero Tracking: We do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. The App does not prompt for App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission because no tracking is performed.
No Third-Party Analytics: The Application contains no third-party analytics SDKs (e.g., Firebase, Google Analytics, Flurry).
No Advertising Networks: The Application contains no advertising SDKs and serves no advertisements.

4. Data Backup, Export, and Deletion

4.1 Export and Import

You may voluntarily export your entire barcode board configuration to a local JSON file using the iOS Files app or share sheet.
You may import a previously exported JSON file to restore your board data. All import and export operations run completely on-device without network transmission.

4.2 Data Deletion

You retain complete ownership and control of your data at all times.
Deleting an individual card or column within the App immediately and permanently removes that item from the local database.
Deleting or uninstalling the Application from your iOS device will permanently remove the application sandbox, including all local databases and saved records.

5. Children's Privacy

The Application is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions), nor do we knowingly collect any personal information from children. Because all application data stays strictly on your local device, no child's data is gathered, transmitted, or stored by us.

6. Security

All application data is protected by Apple's built-in sandbox security model and hardware-level device encryption (Data Protection). To maintain maximum security, we recommend keeping your iOS operating system updated and maintaining a secure device passcode or Face ID / Touch ID.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect enhancements or regulatory requirements. Any modifications will be posted with an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
