This Privacy Policy applies to the CustomLabelGroup web application running in client web browsers (WebAssembly / JavaScript) (hereinafter referred to as the "Application", "App", "we", "us", or "our").
We take your privacy very seriously. CustomLabelGroup Web is built with a client-side, local-first architecture. All data operations occur directly inside your web browser. We do not track you, we do not deploy advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not transmit your barcode cards or board data to any remote web server.
1. Information Collection and Storage
1.1 Browser Client-Side Storage
All barcode entries, card values, descriptions, column configurations, and board states are stored entirely within your browser's local client storage (localStorage / IndexedDB / in-memory).
- Data never leaves your web browser unless you explicitly initiate a local JSON file download.
- Our web servers (if hosting static assets) do not log, inspect, or receive the contents of your boards.
1.2 Information We Do NOT Collect
- No Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as names, phone numbers, or email addresses.
- No cross-site tracking identifiers or marketing cookies.
- No user accounts or login credentials.
2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
- Zero Tracking Cookies: The Application does not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.
- Local Storage Only: We use standard browser storage mechanisms solely to persist your kanban board layout and barcode cards across page refreshes and browser sessions.
3. Web Permissions and Browser APIs
3.1 Web Clipboard API
- Purpose: When you click the "Copy Barcode" button, the Application utilizes the browser's Clipboard API to copy the barcode value.
- Handling: The Application only writes the chosen barcode text to your clipboard. It never inspects, reads, or records the existing contents of your system clipboard.
3.2 File Download and Upload (Export / Import)
- Purpose: To provide backup and migration capabilities.
- Handling: When you choose to export your board, the browser generates and downloads a
.jsonfile to your local computer. When you choose to import, your browser reads only the file you explicitly select. The file is parsed strictly in-browser via WebAssembly/JavaScript without server-side processing.
4. Third-Party Services and Analytics
- No Third-Party Analytics: We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Mixpanel, or any other web metrics services.
- No Third-Party Ad Networks: We do not display third-party advertisements or integrate marketing scripts.
5. Data Retention, Clearing, and Deletion
- User Control: You maintain 100% control over your stored data.
- Deleting Data: Deleting cards or columns directly removes them from your browser's local storage.
- Clearing Browser Data: Clearing your browser's site data, cache, or cookies for this website will permanently erase all locally saved boards and barcode cards. We recommend using the "Export" feature to maintain periodic local backups.
6. Children's Privacy
The Application does not solicit or collect personal information from children under 13 (or 16). Because all data remains in the client’s browser storage without central server collection, no children’s personal data is acquired.
7. Security
Data in transit between the web server and your browser is secured using standard HTTPS encryption. However, because your board data is stored in your browser's local storage, security also relies on using a modern, updated browser on a trusted device.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any updates will be published on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
